The FPI is proud to present the 2010 Annual FPI Convention “Beyond the Recession” at Emperors Palace, Kempton Park on the 26th and 27th May 2010. This annual conference is the single biggest event on the financial services calendar and attracts like-minded professionals from across South Africa to discuss current issues facing those who work in the financial services arena. We anticipate that at least 1 000 financial planners will gather once again to benefit from the annual networking opportunity and outstanding programme.
As this year’s convention is again at Emperors Palace which is a few kilometres from the airport, there is no need to hire a car as there are free shuttles from the airport to the convention centre and it is so close that you need not fly in the night before. In addition, we have negotiated an excellent rate of only R725 per night with the Peermont Metcourt Hotel (go to "Accommodation" to download the booking forms), which is next to the Convention Centre but was fully booked at least a month before the convention last year. Cheap flights are also still available and the indication is that these costs will not be increased over this period which is at least 2 weeks before the World Cup (CLICK HERE to see a recent press release made by Kulula). We recommend that you book your flights and accommodation early to avoid disappointment!
Highlights at this year's convention include :
* Focussed 3-hour afternoon breakaway sessions on Day 1;
* The opoportunity to relax, mingle with your peers and enjoy some music and dancing at the gala dinner (a first!);
* Gary Bailey as the closing speaker in keeping with the spirit of the World Cup; AND
* An early close on Day 2!
In 2010, with the recent signs of possible economic stabilisation, we will consider the global market recovery, look at the legislative developments, provide technical financial planning skills and insights and also consider the various opportunities that may be presented to financial planners beyond the recession. Delegates can look forward to keynote presentations from industry experts and be able to choose from 3 3-hour breakaway workshops as well as the traditional black-tie Gala Dinner and awards evening on the first day.
So, don’t miss out - take advantage of the early bird registration discount by registering on or before 31 March 2010.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Best Wishes
Your FPI Team
